Tech Talk Guys

I am excited to say that my friend Bill and I revived our podcast Tech Talk Guys. We have this unfortunate pattern of posting and then having to take a LONG hiatus before we post again. Funny enough I realize that it tends to create almost a time capsule of tech news. I remember when we first reported the hints of the iPhone in iTunes 7 back in 2006. Now we are on the 4th generation of the iPhone and it’s operating system. The iPad is fast trailing and entirely new sector of the computer industry. Either way that is the topic of our latest podcast and we will definitely visit it again and again. Check it out and all our previous ‘casts to get a view of where we have come from to where we are now.
Baltimore vs. Antarctica

This morning I woke up to a nice frigid morning here in Baltimore. The wind was howling past the door on my way out of the Hilton Garden Inn. This reminded me of a video I saw on a podcast I subscribe to, thebestofyoutube. The video depicts what I believe are researchers in the Antarctica. It truly is amazing the forces of nature that exist around us. Of course you want to see what I am talking about and not just me blathering on. Continue reading after the video.
I find it amazing that this video depicts an actual place in the world. Sometimes it blows my mind that there are places on the planet that are just uninhabitable. I just wish I could visit these places sometimes.
Podcast Purge

So I realized that I have way too much music on my Zune (approx. 25Gb worth) and not enough podcasts. Sad part is that the 25Gb isn’t even the entire collection but my “favorites”. But I am spending alot of time on the road and time in hotels so I thought more than music I should have some media-on-demand that is constantly updating. What better answer to my needs than some good podcasts. So I decided to check back up on some of my favs. I love my tech podcasts, a few newscasts, and just a few comedy things. Either way I thought I would share my current list of podcasts. I will say that I am a fan of Revision3 stuff. The stuff produced there is usually from some TechTV Alum. I loved Tech TV!! So here is my list in no particular order:

Now to be honest I think I am forgetting some and I keep adding more content as I find more shows. I am interested in Revision3′s new show Scam School which is about social engineering. Loved Mitnick’s book on the topic so might be neat to see it live (so to speak). If I think of anything else I will make sure to tweet about it or update this list.
